COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Traditional Hefeweizen from Germany usually taste like cardboard because by the time you drink them, they’re not fresh anymore. Chuck brews Heinnieweisse with Bavarian yeast and a 67% wheat grist approximately 5000 miles closer to your mouth than Germany giving it a rich, fully fresh palate. Pour it and see the wheat cloudiness, smell the notes of estery aroma. At 4.9 % abv you’ll taste the effervescent, sweet yet tart freshness that no farty old German can boast. And what does an Alien have to do with any of this? Ever notice how a hop looks like an Alien’s head? Look again.

12oz can. Hazy golden colour with an OK white head. Very sweet, almost artificial, banana aroma that followed through to the flavour with some caramel thrown in for good measure. Far from great.

I poured it from the can into a glass. It pours acloudy with a head that dissipates quickly. The aroma is banana and spice. The taste is banana, spice, lemon, and yeast. It’s highly carbonated and refreshing. It’s a little heavier on the spice than usual. This is pretty good.

Cloudy light golden color with a tall, off-white head. Dry wheat and hints of yeast, bananas and lemon zest. Feel is a bit thick and flat. Light sweet wheat, followed by some floral hops, touch of acidity. 7/12

So German hefs in the us are cardboard, but this! This is perfection!! Or so they say. Thin and herbal, with an almost fake bubble gum banana thing going on. Still watery finish.

Can shared. Pours a thin, gold with 2 fingers of shampoo-like foam that lingers. Bubblegum forward nose. Light and easy drinking but quite thin and watery for a hefe. Really missing that creamy palate. More artificial sweet bubblegum and herbal elements on the finish.

Tons of banana in this, from the aroma to the last sip. On the wheat heavy side but still pleasant. Worthy of a higher average score, imo.

Can pour from Cigarette City. Appearance is lightly hazy pale yellow with greenish tinge, effervescent sparkle with 3-finger width fizzy/foamy head with excellent retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is mild citrus, fruit, alongside yeast, vague metallic scent. Taste is strong citrus and banana, light clove. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with watery texture, lively carbonation and lightly sweet and tart finish. Overall, I was expecting a disaster based on low ratings but this was decently average--certainly not unpleasant.

Butternuts Heinniewiesse Farmhouse ale 12oz. can served in pint glass (from 2010 notes) A - mildly cloudy light golden with moderate white head T - moderate strength for style. Yeast, grain, ripe banana and lemony citrus. Balancing sour and sweet components. Good but subtle aftertaste Aroma - weissbier with yeast, citrus and noticeable hops. Not inviting. M - light; smooth. Overall: easy drinking. Good thirst quencher. Neither bold nor complex. Not recommended for those who do not like a strong citrus component

can to glass that poured a slightly cloudy yellow with longer lasting white head. wheat, clove, banana and straw in the nose. the flavor is more of the same, some spicy wheat, clove and banana a typical weisse bier. nothing really outstanding just a decent overall flavor and drinkable.
