3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz can purchased at the brewery in Garrattsville, NY. Pours to a beautiful, bright, amber color, with a tight, white head that fades, and a good carbonation. The nose on this beer is pleasing with some good zesty and herbal hop aromas. Palate is soft, with good pale and stewed malt flavors, paired with light fruity esters. This beer finishes with more good pale and stewed malt flavor up front, then ends with a gentle, mild hop bite that lingers. Enjoyable, very drinkable pale ale, with enough aroma and flavor to please the beer geek in me, but a beer that you could pound with impunity. I love a good drinking beer like this.
Thanks to SinH4! Happy B-day. ½ Pint split by two @ Waterloo Tap. Clear golden. Nose is mellow caramel, toffee, sugar basic herbal; taste is weird herbal cereal, toffee, sugar, rather empty bodied in taste and body. Bland and rather weird but not as terrible as the score on here suggests in my opinion. SinH4 (6573) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - SEP 11, 2017

Messy copper, thin beige head. Smell of bready malts, faint hops, hints of ginger. Moderate sweet, a gentle clean flavor of ginger, bready malts, hints of tea and citrus hops, quite plain otherwise. Moderate bitter. A nice twist with the ginger, but it’s just to mellow and non agressive
Can. Pours a dark rusty pour with no head. Nose is flat.....Taste is dull , with a very subtle floral flavor. Finish is really no better, a rather boring less than average , light EPA. Quaff Score 4 / 10.......

12oz can. Reddish brown with a thin white head. Mild caramel aroma, flavour is sweet caramel, not much else going on LaserDave (34) - - JUL 4, 2017
Pale Ale with a hint of fresh ginger spices (and without their tendency toward cross dressing). It’s balanced, not overly bitter, easy to drink and incredibly refreshing. We brew PorkSlap with two row barley and a little chocolate malt for color. It pours orange and crystal clear with a frothy white head. If your nose is working, you might get a little malty whiff that soon gives way to pure thirst quenching goodness and happy satisfaction. The finish is clean, crisp and dry, and it plays really nice with spicy food like tex-mex, bbq or hot wings. Go ahead. Slap that pig.

I poured it from the can into a glass. It pours amber with a white head and lacing. The aroma is caramel and bread. The taste was the same with a small hint of earthy hops. This was easy and pretty good. All of the beers in the sample pack were solid. Ktwse (5681) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 25, 2017
Pours clear golden amber with low white head. Aroma of caramel, malt. Taste is sweetish with a mellow pine bitter finish. Light and smooth body with soft carbonation. 17Beer (452) - Connecticut, USA - FEB 11, 2017
Malt and bread aromas. Pours a clear orange with an off white rocky head. Lots of lacing. Tastes of malt, pine and leather. Can’t taste the ginger. Medium carbonation. Nicely balanced and drinkable.
