COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our India Pale Ale packs typical IPA balls but strikes a better balance between dryness and drinkability. Its every bit as rich but a little less bitter than other American interpretations of the breed, and heres why. We are smarter, better looking brew masters. It also doesnt hurt that we use 2 row barley with no goofy processing. And then we employ a 2 week dry hop process before we put it in the can, with love for you, our beer loving friends. There is no fish or fish flavor in Snapperhead. We chose this cartoon figure to represent the brand in a somewhat random marketing process we call non-sensical ideation.

Can. Pours a lightly hazy yellow orange color with a frothy white head. Nose is kind of stinky with grass notes and light sweet honey. Palate is thin and uneventful. Flavors if grass light fruit and a dry yeasty note. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz can at Stout, NYC on 12-Nov-2016, served in a shaker. Cloudy pale amber colour with a medium sized white head. Aroma of light pine, sweet fruit and malt. Light/medium body and carbonation. Flavour of grapefruit, lemon and sweet malt. Light bitterness. Not enough hops for me. A beer that lacks complexity and depth - but still better than a Bud.

12 oz can poured in pint glass (from 2010 notes). The can says "Farmhouse Ale" IPA. A - hazy golden amber with slightly off-white head. Head has good retention. Taste and aroma both reflect nicely balanced and generously applied malt and hops. Likewise, some sweet malty taste is nicely balanced with hop bitterness. Balanced initial flavor is followed by a nice rush of hoppiness, with a long lasting finish. Excellent save for a slight off-taste that may simply be some hop components that are not my favorites. Good carbonation. Mouthfeel is both creamy (early) and crisp (later).

Pours a cloudy yellow/gold with a 2 finger foam head with good retention. Nose is not an IPA nose - it is more basic "beer" (mass produced ones). The taste is also not like an IPA. I get mostly malt, and caramel sweetness on the finish. More Pilsner than IPA. Reading the reviews, I was concerned this was going to be bad...it's fine. While nothing like an IPA, it's decent and a totally average, easy to drink beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can via trade from notes. Pours a clear golden color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have pale toasted malts, caramel, biscuits, orange citrus, earthy, dry, older hops, not sure of age, Meh.

12 ounce can from Total Wine, Medford, a Brady IPA, reads like English IPA. Drinkable but not as advertised.

This is really strange....the aroma smells like green olives. I had another guy with me confirm. Not bad, just unique. The initial taste comes across as crisp, low malty flavor and their is a pale ale type bitter to follow. I would t call this an ipa, but its definitely not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Smells just like Budweiser which should not because Budweiser is a lager. Kellers nice medium orange color. Taste very malty at first with almost no hop profile. Nice carbonation but leaves a foul taste on the back of the beer. One of the worst ipa Ive ever had.

Poured from a 12 oz can into a pint glass. This is a cloudy golden colored beer with a large white head. The beer has heavy carbonation. The aroma is slightly medicinal and soapy, not very inviting. The flavor is medicinal with a slight unpleasant aftertaste. The best part of the beer is the graphics on the can.

Pour from a 12oz can. I guess the splash-bang IPAs have dulled my senses, because my first reaction was "This is an IPA?" If they say so... Aroma of sweet malt with weak resin. Taste is sweet up front, a bit buttery, a modest resin in the finish, a weak bitter flourish are the very very end. Well crafted and well balanced, obviously not an accident. I can relate to the sentiment of bucking the west coast resin tothe max IPA style but prefer the IPAs that go for light, agile, crisp but complex tropical fruit hoppiness on a light malt base.
