From tap at the brewpub. Pours almost clear and golden deep brown with a creamy, tan and lasting head. Aroma is dark roasted malt, breadish and with a dark toffee note. Quite sweet, caramelish, toffee and bit of liqourice. Ends lingering dark malty and roasted caramelish. Sweet overall impression. Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - AUG 25, 2009

Draught at the brewpub. Aroma has a little diacetyl. Cloudy orange/brown colour. The flavour is acidic and with diacetyl. I guess it happens to balance, but that does not seem intentional.

On tap at the brewpub. Aroma of dark malts and light herbal. Light brown color, beige head, good lace. Maltsweet, light fruity, light bitter, soft mouthfeel. Quite nice. bogdi1 (32) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 5, 2006
(Hand-bottled by Yogi_Beera - thanks!) At least the beginning is good: this looks exactly the same as the magnificent Hollolan Hirvi Kivisahti; cloudy dark amber. Aroma is lightly malty and
yeasty, fruity and sour - as in all beers I got from this Brewhouse.
Lightly toasted malt notes in flavor with some dry berries. Sour with dryish finish with some smoke notes. Watery.
After the journey to Finland this is definitely not what it should be. Not really an enjoyable experience, got to admit. YogiBeera (2569) - New Jersey, USA - MAY 1, 2006
On tap at the brewpub: nice amber brown color, small head on top. Toffee nose and taste. Intense malt and caramel taste. Medium long lasting. Very smooth - nice one°! pivo (2685) - GERMANY - APR 30, 2006
Toasted malt and molasses nose, cloudy dark amber color, foamy head. Caramel malt taste, spicy end. Big chewy body, full of character. Stands on its own or could go with a meal too. Nice one. MoritzF (9851) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - APR 25, 2006
(bottle, refilled from a growler by Yogi_Beera and pivo – many thanks!) Hazy murky amber colour with a small foamy layer. Slightly sweet malty aroma with toffee and a light sourish fruity touch of red berries and lemon. Slightly sweet flavour, light body, low carbonation (probably due to the refilling). Light-sweet, slightly toasted malty taste with toffee and a fruity touch; very mild, almost watery but not unpleasant mouthfeel; dry and slightly tart and fruity finish.
