Draught @ Buxtehuder Brauhaus, Kirchenstraße 13, 21614 Buxtehude, Niedersachsen, Germany.
Clear dark brown color with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, dusty, licorice, light hoppy, flowers, berry. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20091214]

Draught at the brewpub. Sweet aroma with a little diacetyl. Nice, very dark brown colour. Stable, creamy light brown head. The flavour has quite a lot of roasted malts and is quite sweet. It has a lactic sourness to it, but it does not really hurt the impression. The aftertaste gives a burning sensation as if from real pepper. I had it in January, so perhaps a small infection was setting in. An interesting beer.
