Dark brown coloured body with a violet and pure purple glow, all with a slightly thinnish light brown head of just a centimetre tall, all with about only 75% opacity in the body. Aroma of pure permanent marker - very strong with some cherries, roast, burnt grain, alcohol, funk, mushrooms, earth and a ton of everything licorice - star anise, fennelseed, anisseed and pure candy licorice. Light to perhaps Medium-bodied; Super interesting tart cherry flavour at first that dies down immediately with a very thin malt backbone with some roast and burnt flavours along with a bit of light fruits showing cherry and pears with no body at all. Aftertaste is more of the bitterness everywhere with the burnt malts, alcohol, grain, earth and mushroomy qualities and no depth or support from any other flavours - this just packs some flavours short and sweet and there is no body at all throughout the entire sample. Overall, a funky beer with a ridiculously bitter malt backbone, but no body and nothing too exciting, except for the tart cherries, but those aren't really noticeable at all once you get into tasting this. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Washington (Foggy Bottom), D.C. on 25-May-2015 for US$7,99 sampled at home in Washington almost two and a half years later on 16-November-2017, when my son turned two weeks old. Bottled on: 22-August-2014 // Purchased: 25-May-2015 // Sampled: 16-November-2017

Black hue with a thin light tan head. Nice little roasty dark cocoa and sweet cherry tones on the nose with a gentle smokey kiss. Brisk flavor that combines roasty black malts with a twangy funky tart cherry flavor with just not quite enough chocolaty sweetness to back it up. Roasty and slightly earthy with dark bittersweet chocolate and tart cherries. Kinda good in its own right. Like bitter 80% chocolate with a dose of sour cherry funk.

Chocolate and mild cherry notes. Black with a quickly fading head. Tart. Light bodied. Decent but not overly exciting.

Definitivamente las sour no son mi estilo o por lo menos para una pinta, se hace larga y no me dice nada más de lo que se aprecia con el primer trago.

Kolor : Czarny z mocmo rubinowymi refleksami.
Piana: Bężowa z wiśniowymi zabarwieniami. Drobne oczka, umiarkowanie trwała. Ładne krąźkowanie. Wąski kożuszek zostaje do samego końca.
Zapach : Czekolada, ciesteczka, tort kawowy, kawa. Prócz tego znaczna paloność. Nie czuje żadnych kwaskowatych nut.
Smak: Coś niesamowitego! Na początku dostajemy sporą porcję kawowego tortu, następnie zostaje on przełamany mocnymi super-kwaśnymi detalami. Czuć tutaj wiśnie, czerwone , niedojrzałe czereśnie oraz limonki. Na koniec znowu powraca na finiszu nuta kawowo-czekoladowa. Wszystko nieziemsko przyjemne i komponujące się. Goryczka jest niska.
Wysycenie: Niskie.
Podsumowanie:
Wszystko w odpowiednich proporcjach. Piwo jest nieprawdopodobnie pijalne. Na pewno spróbuję jeszcze nie raz!

12 oz bottle poured. Pours a thick black with a big bubbling head. Soft sweet fruit aroma covering the malt. Soft roast and cherry up front. A little chocolate. Comes off as a barrel soured stout to me. Quite tasty for sure.

Cherry, light nail polish, a bit smoke and ash aroma. Semi sweet with a not very prominent stout base, mostly cherries, pretty weird.
