12 ounce bottle bought at Steins, shared with the sunday Nobi crew sitting outside, smoking shotgun shell camels while it was snowing .. roast and lots of burnt toast, ash .. mouth is quite thin for a big stout, this would barrel very well .. a grimey black buster finish .. nice but hoped it was more buxton big .. . . when did you start smoking cigarettes? i don't but last week

Pitch black with thin brown head. Sweet chocolate milk aroma, dark chocolate. Very dark roasted taste, bitter dark chocolate, with some creamy coffee towards the end. Not too thick, not too thin in the mouth. Tastes like it's high ABV, but not too acrid.

Aroma is dark fruit, mild sweetness, dark malts and a slight hint of funk. The flavor is dark fruit, coffee/dark chocolate, mildly sweet in the middle and an acidic/warming alcoholic finish.

Fairly hoppy (for the style) and a nice balance overall, not overly sweet, lotta roast on top of the coff, some licorice even in tail end, body is rather low.

Bottle at home. Been sitting on this since February. Pours a jet black with a thick dark brown head that slowly fades leaving nice lacing. Aromas of sweet dark chocolate, roasted ground coffee beans, extinguished camp fire and a slight vanilla. Flavour is roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee and sweet liquorice with a long smokey linger. Exceptional imperial stout.
