COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask & Bottle Conditioned; Regular.

A hoppy amber ale, brewed with a complex mash of Marris Otter pale malt, Rye, Caramalt and Wheat.
A shed-load of American hops provide a delightful marmalade / citrus bitterness, well balanced by the sweetness of the malt, whilst delivering a charcteristic peppery Rye flavour.

Leighton (21880) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 7, 2012
Cask at the Euston Tap, London. Pours clear, rich gold with a fine, white foam head. Lovely nose, all tangerine and toasty hay. Medium sweet flavor, some tangy citrus, whole grain bread, tangerine, light dirt and earth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Crisp finish, lightly sticky and resinous, lots of dry pine, tangerine, faint grapefruit and grass, mild toasted sugars. Damn, such a well balanced beer. Nuance to spare. This guy just keeps on giving. It’s well hopped but not at all abrasive or over the top. Phenomenal.

Light hazy copper body with nice small bubbly, big stable white head. Very well developed hop aroma, slightly sweet, spruce, apple dessert and a crusty bread base. Lots of taste, great rounded of spruce bitterness and long aftertaste. And at this abv that’s a real feat. Yet another stunning Buxton beer. (50cl bottle)

Bottle, bought @ YNWA, Kolding. Pours hazy orange with a medium, staying, creamy white head. Aroma has sweet malts, citrus, green apple, rye bread. Medium carbonation, lovely dry and creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is elegant, super crisp, citrus, pine, grass, light spicy rye that fits in perfectly. Long, lingering dry and bitter finish. Really nice.

Cask, gravity, Merton Winter Beer Festival Feb 2013 w/e of Friday 15th, Saturday 16th February 2013 Light amber with a white bubbly head. This is jam packed with flavour, really full on, you really feel like it was the brewers intention to whack as much zippy, zappy, fruity, tangy flavours into this as he could, its a workout for the tastebuds is this.Fruity, spicey, citrusy, and I also get that marmalade that the description suggests. This is one of them beers that if you rolled up at a beer festival and just about everything else you wanted had long since gone but this had somehow remained you would just sit there happily supping away, well I would anyway, Marvellous stuff! Me and Loz during a slight lull in proceedings compared this to another one of our favourites the Blackwater Expressionist, they really were two great beers but in very different ways, this beer won out but it was a good taste off. Handpull at Euston Tap. Clear bright amber-gold with a smallish but lasting mottled tan/beige head. Cereal grain, oily - fresh herbal/resin bitterness, a bit of alcohol - quite sharp and a bit funky. Taste follows - so well-balanced, nothing jumps out, but I sucked back the half-pint in about 7 seconds. Chewy, oily, average body, a bit astringent, low but acceptable carbonation, a grainy/oily herbal dry bitter finish. Great stuff, so drinkable - off to buy a whole pint now.

Flavours are woody and floral with bready yeast and bitter pine and grapefruit. Earthy and spicy with underlying toffee and chocolate. Resinous lemon with a peppery, dry finish. Very nice.
