COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Buxton Edition of previously brewed collaboration between Buxton Brewery (UK) & Arizona Wilderness (US). During a trip through the UK, the Wilderness/Buxton Brewers conceptualized a hybrid beer using refined traditional English malts along with outlandish Amercian Hops including Citra, Simcoe, Centennial, and Mosaic. The result is a balanced beer that pushes the stylistic boundaries of ESB, which would cause Camra members to yell "Rubbish!"

[email protected] Orange light brown hazy. Pretty nice malty caramels on nose, fruity oranges, pine foresty. Med bodied, bitter, sweet caramelly flavour. Ok, a bit too fizzy here, but like the flavour.

Tap @ derat, small sample. Slight hazy golden to orange color, short head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, bit malty, some caramel. Soft sweetness in taste, medium bitterness, citrus, earthy. Decent stuff.

(Draught at Man in the Moon, Stockholm, 4 Sep 2015) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dried fruit, toffee and orange peel. Malty, fruity taste with dried fruit, orange, apricots, toffee and a balanced earthy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Well made and tasty premium bitter. Nice one.

Keg (Angleterre, Helsinki)
Pleasant sweet malty aroma, some nettles, zingy. Rich orange, small tight head. Thinnish palate for the strength, but not watery, carbonaton a little prickly. Taste is full and malty, and again has the nettly hops. Finish bitter. Oooh, that’s very nice. Shame about the kegginess, would have scored more as a soft real ale. Stick that up your anti-camra arse!

(Keg at Angleterre, 20151014) The beer poured amber and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, toffee and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, molasses, grass, creamy toffee, pine and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. Like a blend of an American amber ale and bitter. Not bad but not really my thing either.

Tap at Angleterre, Helsinki. Colour is slightly cloudy copper with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, bitterness, nuts, some toffee and malts. Juicy bitter. Definitely not English style bitter.

Cask. Buxton Tap. Clear, copper colour. Film, and a few bubbles of lasting, off white head. Aroma is fruit cake fruits. Fresh, lightly grassy, spicy hop. Soft caramel malts. Smells great. Taste is soft sweet initially, before a spicy, resin bitterness. Palate has a nice chew. Finishes long, spicy bitter, with an edge of malty sweetness hanging around. Very nice.

Draught @ Man in the Moon, Stockholm Pours dark reddish orange with a smooth foamy head. Aroma of tropical fruits, berries, malts, some hints of citrus and resin. Taste is malty, bitter and tropical fruity with hints of resin and berries. Finish is malty and crisp with some fruits, grass, caramel, berries and toffee. Feels like an ESB with loads of American hops.

Tried at the Deepings Beer Festival. Amber brown colour with a thick head. Aroma is caramel sweet, with a kick if fruity hops. Taste is mid sweet to bitter finish.
