Black Rocks is a Black IPA. It is very dark in colour, yet has many characteristics of an India Pale Ale. Late mash additions provide the colour without the harsher, roasted flavours of the dark malts. The beer has a blackcurrant aroma and flavours of liquorice and pithy grapefruit

Tap @ oharas pours dark brown, small beige head. Sour bubblegum aroma. Malty, hoppy, some strange sewerish aftertaste.

25cl en pression. Lille. Appearance: very dark, black almost, very opaque. Frothy tan head with good retention. A lot if lacing. Aroma: hops, dark chocolate, tobacco, earthy leathery, dark fruits. Taste: dry, bitter finish, but balanced. Palate: full body, frothy texture, good long finish Overall, not my preferred style, but hard to deny that this is a well made beer. Good complexity and flavor. A great beer for those who appreciate hops and great texture.

Keg at the Euston tap, aroma is choc and berries, nepoletan ice cream. Flavour is jam packed choc, light mellow roast, JAM, orangey piney hop. A little delicate spice in the finish. Carbonation is high, tingley on the tongue. Roasty lemony finish. Very nice drop.

Yeh banger... Fruity hop aromas lead into heavier-than-expected roasted malt taste with good hop balance. Got me interested in the style again

Pours dark brown almost black, with a thin tan head. Strong citrus and floral notes, with a hint of toffee and roast coffee. Drinks a little porter like with strong toffee and coffee, but has a good whack of citrus and hop resins. The finish is fairly sweet, good roast malt bitterness and hop kick. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Euston Tap. Pours very dark brown with a small, firm beige head. Killer lacing. Nose is a little subdued but whats there isnt too bad. Mild roast and milk chocolate with some piney hops. Moderate roast in the taste with a touch of smokiness to it behind the grassy and earthy hops. Some liquorice in the very back. Quite dry. Moderate mouth feel with a touch of warmth. Solid

Norwich Tap House. Black with a red hue and quickly diminishing off white head. Leans more towards the IPA end of the scale, but with some notable black stuff in there on the fruity side of a porter - so winter fruits, roast malts and a strong citrus and pine bitterness from the hops. Medium body, mild carbonation.
