US Style Winter Porter
This beer pours a deep chestnut brown, with a billowing cappucino head. It has aromas of forest fruits and a biscuity, malty body. Generously hopped with US varieties, it leads to a lingering bitter finish..

Bottle (5%). Dark brown. Woody, nutty malty, dark syrup, some dark leather on nose. Med bodied, pretty nice & tasty. Green herbs, dry chocolate, malts in flavour. A hint of vanilla in finish. Bitter, bit dry. Easily drunk porter. Couldn’t get much hop aroma, but the bitters were well present. Buxtony clean and tasty, as always.

Ordinaria stout nera con schiuma croccante cappuccino. Orzo e affumicato in bocca e al naso. Beverina e acquosa, corpo medio e poco altro. Bella bevuta ma niente di che

teorn88 (7682) - Rimini, ITALY - NOV 7, 2014
33cl bottle in London. It pours a deep brown color with ruby edges and a small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts with strong notes of cocoa powder and light citrus. Some light wood notes alongside burnt sugar. Taste is medium sweet medium roasty bitter upfront then turns into a citrusy tanginess. Very dry astringent finish. Overall, really tasty

Bottled: Oct 2013.

In short: harsh dry bitter dark ale.
Pours hazy dark copper with little off white head. Short head retention, poor lacing. Roasty, caramel, coffee aromas. Medium body, aoft carbonation, oily texture. Taste follows the nose, coffee, roasty, really bitter and dry, some harsh notes. Maybe some kind of problem with this batch.

Pours a dark brown with a little fine off white head. Nose is dark berries (blueberry, blackberry), a touch of coffee. Flavor is again quite fruity. Reminiscent of a very dark, fruity chocolate. A little cocoa, a little coffee, a touch of sweetness, charcoal, with a slightly piney finish. Medium bodied. Pretty good.

Bottle drink @ home, from Saveur-biere.com - Color: clear black beer with small carbonation and small ivory head. Smell: malty domination bit with grassy and hoppy presence. Taste: malt and hops, the style is more a Black IPA than a Porter. But really great beer. I appreciate really the taste. Aftertaste: caramel and hoppy with sweet bitterness.

3.4
Idiosynkrasie (7516) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JUL 3, 2014
330ml bottle. Dark ruby red glowing, mahagony colour with late awakening, average, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, ochre head. Resinous, piney, herbal hoppy aroma, slightly earthy, dark malty background with a nuttily touch, hints of chestnut, cautious red berry-fruitiness. Taste is dry, roasty dark malty, mildly bitter hoppy overtones, minimally herbal and metallic; taste occupies regions of quite restricted scope on the palate, watery side lines.
