Bottle 33cl, a dark beer with medium copper head. Nose is on dark malt, hop resin, mint and licorice. Aroma is on resin, pine, caramel, licorice, zest, high bitterness, mint touch, light chocolate, more hopy than malty. erickok (6037) - Leuven, BELGIUM - JUL 26, 2012
Dark brown body, nice tan head. Rich mix if chocolate and pecan with pine and spruce hops. Smooth body with just enough carbonation. Solid amount of bitterness without being so overpowering. Great brew. (50cl bottle) Inbreak (6025) - Loddefjord, NORWAY - JUL 14, 2014

Big light brown creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet and fresh roasted, dark malts, pine needles, caramel, hops, coffee, bark, licorice, grass, leafs. Taste is dry and roasted, dark malts, coffee, pine needles, lots of hops, burnt caramel, bark, soil, weeds, grass, leafs, licorice. Longlasting bitterness, dry and a little thin mouthfeel, fizzy carbonation. Nice enough.
Bottle thx to benzai @ home. Pitch black, opaque colour with a small off-white head, but it’s quite cold. Smells hops, grapefruit, roasty, some dark chocolate. Great combination between ipa and stout. Tastes quite hoppy, dark chocolate, roasty, fruity, very fresh and refreshing, lovely. Full body, low carbo. mkel07 (5978) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - OCT 1, 2014
Bottle from Stewarts Wine Company. Deep black colour with a tan head. Quite malty with a solid dose of hops. Not bad and hides the alcohol well.

Bottle. Aroma plum, chocolate. Light roast. Moderate herbal grassy hops. Dark brown colour. Taste is very nicely balanced, with bold amount of chocolate and roast complementing the grassy herbal hoppiness. Nicely balanced. Very good. TimE (5817) - Tokyo, JAPAN - SEP 24, 2015
Very dark brown color with light brown head. Very hoppy nose with tons of citrus notes under pinned by roasted malts. Medium full body, tons of cotton candy, citrus notes with excellent roasted malt character. Sharp malt and hop character. Lingering roasted malt finish. Excellent example of the style, but doesn’t make top three for me. JulienHuxley (5809) - Sherbrooke, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 3, 2014
On tap at the BeerTemple. Dark black pour with lacy tan head. Aroma is chocolaty, roasty, nice piney hop, light licorice. Taste is bitter, roasty and piney, lingering dark chocolate flavor. Palate is medium bodied with light-med carbonation. Nice. Christos (5785) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - MAY 3, 2015
(Buxton Imperial Black) Bottle 330 ml, shared with vipinvelp, ABV 7.5%
Black coloured body, light beige head, tall but a bit thin, with good retention though, leaving medium lacing on the glass.
Aroma of grass, hops, citrus, not so much roasted character.
Nice taste, grass, light hops, wild plantation, light chocolate, roasted malts now, liquorice.
Medium body, good carbonation.
