Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr/madsberg/Ungstrup. Pours a hazy yellow with a creamy off-white head. British hops aroma with a whiff of citrus. Light body, a very dry fruitiness bordering astringency. Dry and bitter finish - hops get a little better flavourwise. 221012

Cask conditioned handpump Cask Pub & Kitchen Pimlico 11/10/12. A golden beer with a white head and lace. Sharp hoppiness again. Earthy notes in the malts. Late citrus fruitiness. Very good but not as satisfying as most Buxton goldens.

Cask at Cask Pub and Kitchen, Pimlico, London. A golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus fruit aroma. Tastes hoppy, citrus fruit, some marmalade in there, malty, slight sweetness. This would make a great session ale. Best Buxton of the evening for me.

Scopey (14730) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 11, 2012
Cask at CP&K. It pours golden yellow, with a small-medium white head. The nose is fresh citrus (particularly lime), some sweatiness, grainy, grass and light soap. The taste is lime, pith lemon, grapefruit, grass, graininess and some soap, with a dry, lightly citric finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Decent citrusy golden ale.

Benzai (15608) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - OCT 9, 2012
Sampled from bottle @ monthly De Molen tasting. Slightly unclear yellow to golden color, small to medium sized off-white head that’s diminishing fairly quickly. Smell malts, some hops, slightly sweet. Taste malts, lightly hops, decently bitter, slightly a hint of fruits. Medium carbonation, low to medium body.

Cask @ CPK. The pour’s amber with a modest white head. The aroma’s of pissed carpet, some lemon, grass and cheese. A bit funky indeed. The taste is mild berry and orange fruit salad. Grassy hops, a bit gritty. White bread. Light body, soft carbonation. Overall, not bad. Well made, but like many other mildly bitter golden ales.

meerbier (1474) - Pijnacker, NETHERLANDS - SEP 23, 2012
[email protected] Hops, fruits, citrus aroma. Hazy, yellow, white head, good lace. Malty, very bitter, herbal, citrus. Medium body. Flavourful, maybe just a bit too bitter.
