BC from the brewery. Burnished gold with a fine, clinging white cap. Juicy marmalade-like aroma with some sourish, gooseberry undercurrents; sticky hop, faint pineapple jelly. Lemony, jellied orange hop with a rub of soapiness; some earthy malt on the finish. Soft, balanced, bittersweet. Good beer. harrisoni (18578) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - NOV 24, 2011
Cask handpull at Five Lamps Derby. Quite a hoppy simple bitter. Just very simple but very pleasant too. Good touch of finishing bitterness BrotherLogic (252) - California, USA - NOV 19, 2011
I liked this, the half I had in the showroom bar was not in the best condition but the beer didn’t suffer for it. Classic british ale in the modern tradition of being flavourful and tasty. Nice. cgarvieuk (24536) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 1, 2011
