COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An Imperial, Smoked Rye Porter evolved from the recipe book of JK; our Head Brewer. Mashed with malt smoked over a scottish peat burning fire, this beer has a lovely smokey, phenolic and slightly spicy character. Reminiscent of bonfires and Islay whisky.
Almost all gone, get it while you can and drink it whilst the smokey character is still prominent.

Dark, thick black. No head. Aroma is smoky and medicinal. Sour and smoky flavor, but the smoke tastes fake; it’s not very pleasant. It’s not a porly-crafted beer, it’s just not to my taste at all.

Pours black, no head. Oily film. Aroma is wood smoke and salty smoked ham, and medicinal. Warming, and very long aftertaste.

teorn88 (7682) - Rimini, ITALY - NOV 7, 2014
Backlog rating. 33cl bottle from Utobeer, London. It pours a dirt amber/brown color with a small beige head. Aroma is smoke, burnt wood, balsamic vinegar, funk, band-aid, citrus. Taste is medium sweet, light salty, light bitter and light acidic. Notes of ashes, wood, bacon, band-aid, funk, hay, lemon peel. Finishes dry, quite sour and lightly salty. Overall, really interesting and packed with flavour.

The smoke, the peat, the flavor, the palate, it’s all great. What might the best is the low alcohol content considering the flavors. Only 7% for something that could have been a lot more than that. Great beer

Skinnyviking (9570) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - AUG 20, 2014
Bottle at home. Low fluffy light brown quickly disappearing head. Very dark clear red brown body. Powerful smoke roasted malt aroma. Smooth smoke roasted malt coffee liquorice flavor with a bit of hops bitterness, low carbonation and a long finish.

TBone (17544) - Pori, FINLAND - MAY 11, 2014
Bottle 330ml (Saveur). Dark brown color, small beige head. Strong smokey, peaty and leathery Islay whiskey aroma. Medium-bodied. Peaty, even tarry flavor. Rye bready. More "porterish" than "stoutish". Perharps a bit too much whiskey for my liking.

weaselkenievil (1608) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAY 2, 2014
Bottle at home. Poured pretty much black with a thin to medium beige head. Aroma of mellow smoked wood, meat. Flavour is smooth, slightly medicinal (must be the band-aid), some chocolate and caramel, peaty, smoke. Pretty good.
