Murky dark amber beer, residual off white head. Palate is semi dry with mild minerally carbonation. Sweetish dry malt. Strong but smooth piney hops. FInishes semi dry with the malt turning caramel sweet. A bit odd, even clunky, but okay.

Leighton (20605) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 4, 2013
Keg at the Euston Tap, London. Pours hazy, deep gold with a lasting, creamy white head. Lots of sugary, ripening citrus fruits in the nose, some pine needles. Medium to big sweet with some lightly toasty pale malts, melon, grapefruit, pineapple, light dry orange, sand, some alcohol, ripe and sugary peach, cotton candy. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Fairly warming to finish, quite sticky and resinous, with lots of overripe, juicy feuits, lots of citrus, melon and peach, light caramel. Hints of toasty sugar, a good dose of bread. This is a hefty DIPA, and certainly not West Coast in style, but it is quite tasty and, despite its heft, reasonably well balanced.
