3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cold bottle. Smells a bit like the Axe Edge. Up front flavour is sickly sweet, intense, floral and piney. Finish of washing up liquid and a soft enduring bitterness. Floral flavours stick around for a while. Not as bitter as I was expecting.
Pours hazy golden / orange, with a finger of white head and creamy sticky lacing. Piney to the nose, with notes of ale malts, citrus and tropical fruits. Strong bitterness on the attack, then caramel, resin, pine, grapefruit, mango and again a long bitter finish. Creamy, full body, soft carbonation, an excellent DIPA full of flavour. drjoeng (1291) - SINGAPORE - MAY 1, 2017
9%ABV. Double IPA.
Poured out amber. 14 SRM.
Nose has ripe pineapple, malty sweet funk.
Mouthfeel is soapy. Palate has a sweet sour roundedness to it that suggests fruitiness. Malt palate is honey grahams. Hops: resin, pine sap, pine needles, strong resin and bitter melon.
Finish is medium-long and bitter melon.

Taste: sweet malty start, caramel, very bitter, bit of honey, orange peel. Aftertaste: hoppy, resinous, sweet malts, caramel, little floral, nice bitter hops, dry resinous finish, bit of alcohol, come grapefruit and citrus, very nice!
Bottle. Dark golden beer with a very strong white head. The aroma is strongly hopped, and the flavour is very deeply hopped with heavy bitterness. Overall a nice strongly hopped IPA.
