330ml bottle (Speakeasy, Tallinn)
Gold. small brief tight head. Sweet belgian yeast aroma, pretty cookie cutter, some vanilla aspect. Taste same. Palate a bit watery, fizzy. Blandish and simple. Finish soapy. Alcohol kinda covered. Utterly characterless belgian, a handle-turning blah-fest. Finish at least has a nice hoppy bite. Quite drinkable, not bad at all, but cookie cutter and dull.

Keg at Pressklubben, Stockholm. Cloudy deep golden, small head. Fruity nose with spicy grass and red wine. Mid sweet with medium-full body and well rounded mouthfeel. Spicy grass, oaky wine and notes of marzipan. Resinous really bitter finish. Very hoppy tripel.

Lore (3023) - Budapest, HUNGARY - APR 3, 2016
hazy golden colour, large white head; aroma of orange, orange zest, some peach notes, grains, and biscuit; taste is the same with peppery notes; great tripel!

Bottle shared at Leightons place 21/03/2016. Many thanks to Colin for this one. Translucent golden yellow, pour with a lasting loose white head. Aroma is bready wheaty grains, orange, leafy citrus, some plastic notes one the nose. Dry grains on the nose as well. Flavour is composed of light grains, straw, some green hop, orange rind. Assertive slightly dirty grassy hop. Palate is medium light, grainy, frothy, carbonation. Decent Belgian yeast, Dirty bitterness.

Bottle share at Leighton’s, thanks to Colin. As ’Buxton Tripel’, 9.0%, BB Feb 2021. Opaque vibrant orange, foamy white head. Aroma is orange squash, musty, spicy, dried orange peel. Body is light, tingly carbonation, a little foamy. Taste is dry and spicy, chalk and pepper, light malt sweetness takes a backseat to the spice. Pretty good, but not my favourite style of beer.

Perfect triple realization. Good attenuation and quiet drinkable. Aftertaste: rich floral bouquet with ester notes and fruity finish. Belgian yeast and alcohol with caramel malt. Superb work!
