Tsar is rich and powerful, a full bodied Imperial Stout. Malty chocolate, mocha and dark berry fruit-notes preside over a subtle hop profile, whilst a smooth velvety texture in the mouth gives way to a lingering bitter, dark chocolate finish

Bottle @ home. The pours thick, oily black with a tight, creamy tan head. Attractive. The nose is strong sweet Hersheys chocolate syrup, charred malts, espresso bean, booze-infused fudge and bitter dark chocolate. Big, expressive aromas. The taste is similarly outsized. Heavy notes of freshly ground espresso. Charred wood and gritty roasted malt flavors. Big, fat, thick chocolate milkshake. Dry, hoppy bitter finish. Ashy. The bodys thick and viscous. Luxurious mouthfeel. This beer wears the ABV well, though it certainly demands to be drunk at a leisurely pace. Overall, pretty outstanding. I feel like Ive cheated myself by waiting this long to try this beer. Its great. If this was made by a hip US brewery itd have a huge reputation.

Dark brown with a lot of crud. Rich smooth imperial stout aroma, and flavor ranging from chocolate sweet on the start to cherries and coffee on the end. Finishes with a slight burn. Very enjoyable.

Pours black, tiny ring of head and oily film. Aroma is cocoa. Velvety-foamy texture. Red fruit in port? Slightly sweet. Bit of bitterness on the finish, and warming.

Kolor czarny, piana wysoka drobnopęcherzykowa, trwała. Aromat czekolada, lekki słonecznik, paloność trochę nut śliwkowych, W smaku bardziej przypomina black IPA aniżeli RISa ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

[email protected] Pours black with thick creamy and lazing tan head. Aroma has roasted malt, coffee and chocolate and some dried fruit and piney hops. Taste is quite dry with dark roasted malts, coffee, liquorice, notes of liquorice and dried fruit yet hoppy with grass, hay and pine. Finish is dry with long roasted aftertaste.

Keg @ Bishops Arms, Hornsgatan. Black with a small, firm and creamy tanned head, rich lacing. Big roasted barley aroma, coffee, molasses, dark chocolate and cherries. Soft carbonated, full bodied, chalky and mid-sweet mouthfeel. Hard roasted taste, roasted barley and coffee beans, rye, pumpernickel, licorice and some sweet molasses lifting that hard roasted taste. The alcohol is well hidden, the finish has a lovely chalky, dry-roasted bitterness that lingers. Just great!

On tap at Fermentoren, Copenhagen. Pours dark brown with lasting light brownish head. Malty, roasted, coffee, licorice, chocolate, some vanilla. Quite sweet, but I wouldnt say too much. Oily. Medium to full bodied.
