A big bold, in your face, malty beer! A touch of sweetness to start, nuttiness to follow and hoppy-ness to finish. Give it a little time and let this beer develop and tantalise those taste buds with its powerful and delectable kick of Willamette hops. A complex copper coloured fusion of distinction. There’s a lot going on with this cheeky little beer, so take your time and sup it up.

Cask at Port Street, Manchester. Not a bad little beer, but overall a bit too subtle in both the aroma and flavour.

Cask (gravity) @ The 18th Reading Beer and Cider Festival 2012, Reading, Berkshire England.

Light unclear medium amber colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing to lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, vomit, sweet camdy, light roasted. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration, candy, smoke - plastic notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120505]

olio (10672) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 19, 2013
33 cl bottle. BBE 11/2013.
Pours clear dark copper-red color with a large white head. Aroma of nettle, goose berry bush, some caramel malts and fruits. Some piney and resiny notes with mild hay also. The hop profile is quite grassy. Flavor is somewhat malty and nutty, fruity and hoppy bitter taste follows soon after. Can’t quite locate the wheat notes here. Slick malty palate with a bitter fruity finish. Decent.

harrisoni (19534) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - APR 13, 2013
Bottle from Oddbins London Bridge. Clear brown orange red beer with a thin beige head. Some spicy almost rye like aroma. Good malts good red fruit. The willamette hops are both fruity and peppery. Yes a pretty good malty beer with a decent whack of hops on the finish. I’d been waiting to have something from this brewery that I really enjoyed for some time and this seems to deliver a beer I like. Small touch of diacetyl on the aroma as it warms up or is that caramel? Anyway it works ok in this beer.

Loved this... perfect amount of carbonation and a full on flavour without being overpowering or too bitter.
