Bottle from The Rake, London. It pours an amber color with a small off-white head. Aroma is malty and yeasty with notes of caramel, toffee, wood and dried leaves. On bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika. Pitch black color, good foam. Medium aroma intensity; some roasted aromas, ginger. Medium body & complexity . Some immediate sweetness , balances well. Enjoyable

Cask Pint at Wibbas Down (JDW), Wimbledon, London in Jan 2013 - Oatmeal Brown. Very Dark Brown in colour. Very malty; roasty/burnt malts, oats, caramel, toffee. Very Spicy; mainly chilli and ginger plus some cloves. Hoppy; earthy hops. Moderately bitter roasty very spicy throughout. A really good festive beer / winter warmer. Enjoyed this. Nice spicy beer! Cask at the Pigs Ear BF 2012 - London. ours clear brown with a fine, beige foam head. Winter spices in the nose, some pine. Light to medium sweet flavor with semi-dark malts, earth, more winter spices, dark bread, light pine. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Clear medium to dark red brown color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy and open, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, dark malt, spicy, licorice. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, licorice, spicy, christmas spices. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. 
Danke an Scopey. Herb-röstiger Antrunk mit (starken) Schokoladennoten im Hintergrund. Rund würzig, weiterhin stark röstig. Leicht hefig, milde steigende Bitterkeit. Deutlich holzig, Karamell, das Aromenspektrum erweitert sich. Schokoladig bitteres Finish mit starker Hopfennote. 11/12/11/12/12/12
