330ml from BeersOfEurope. Total gusher. All over my desk and papers. The beer is thin and slightly tart - not unpleasantly so, but clearly not a traditional English bitter. This is more like a wheat beer or a sour ale. I glanced down at the ratings, and I am not the first to report that this beer gushes, so there may be a problem with the bottling at By The Horns. Perhaps an infection in the brewery itself. Anyway, what I can detect is that whatever smoking has been done to the malt, it has been quite light, just enough to give an interesting edge to the flavour. I like that idea. The rest of it is pretty much a blur - there's coriander flavour rather than Earl Grey tea, but what I am drinking is clearly not what the brewer intended for me to drink. gunnfryd (15652) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 19, 2017

Bottle in Waveney and Meadow, Tooting. Hazy golden with a rim of white froth. Fusty tea aroma. The taste has more fusty tea with citrus and toast. Not great.

Bottle at Draft House on Northcote Road. Slightly vegetal and tart in the finish, didn’t really find much of the smoke character. Disappointing, this did nothing for me. oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - SEP 30, 2016

Hazy yellow colour with a small white head. Aroma is smoked wood, mild lactic notes as well as some bready and floral notes. Flavour is quite similar. Slightly on the messy side, but quite pleasant level of smoke.
Cask/gravity at Kingston BF, light amber with a small head and aromas of beechwood smoke and a little lemon. Crisp and bitter-sweet malty body is well integrated with smoky overtones and a hint of orange.
