A Pale with a big character all to itself. Once in the glass it has an outwardly simple and easy going golden appearance but it comes with lots of baggage! A well balanced mellow malt gives the beer a clear and rich body whilst a myriad of well selected hops leaves the beer with a wonderfully crisp late bitter finish.

Cask. This is interesting. Dry and bitter. Chalk, hops, both fresh and some old, with dusty basement and a little bit tart. Bone dry, with lingering, bitter hops in the aftertaste. Low alcohol, but the flavor is abrasive and it would be difficult to drink a lot of this.

Quite a farm yard aroma. Kind of smells like wet dog. Also tastes like farm yards as well. Hmmmm ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

September 11, 2014 - at By The Horns, on draught. Clear brassy gold with a decent foamy off-white head. Simple and clean pale ale aroma - light grassy/citrus balanced by light fruity malt ... taste follows, not much alcohol - balanced, not all that mellow, but no flaws in the glass - a good drinker. Slightly light body, decent carbonation, a little malt chewiness - finishes quick, crisp, with no real aftertaste. Nice.

Itís my least favourite By The Horns beer to date but to be fair itís nice enough and would get a rave review from any other brewery but Iíve come to expect such great things from these guys that I feel a bit let down.

Cask at Swan, Stone. Pours golden with white head. Run of the mill gold, slightly astringent finish. Possibly on the turn.

Bottle @ home. Lightly unclear yellow - orange color, full sized rough white head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is very fruity and hoppy. Taste lightly bitter, lots of fruit hops, fruity, lightly grapefruit, some pineapple, peach, mango. And only 3,8% ABV! Love this stuff!!

Pistacho (55) - SPAIN - JAN 30, 2015
Cask conditioned at The Cock Tavern. Soft yeast and grainy aroma. Light and refreshing taste, mixing hop and bready flavors. Good bitterness in the end. Good session beer with an interesting blend of English and American character.

Great hoppy session beer. Cooper with light carbonation, heavy early hops with slight hop finish

teorn88 (7671) - Rimini, ITALY - DEC 24, 2014
Cask at The Rake, London. It pours a lightly hazy golden color with a minimal white head. Aroma is tired hops, wet soil, grass and citrus. Taste is citrusy, grassy, grainy and lightly sweet. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Overall, decent not great
