Deep red colour and small amount of head combined with a sweet aroma with hints of biscuit makes for a very appealing drink. A refreshing palate but a complex taste, both sweet and hoppy at the same time, but very nice and a good casual drink. DruncanVeasey (8326) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - NOV 17, 2013
Handpull, PO Vaults, Birmingham, 16/11/13. Cream skimmed deep bronze. Aroma mildly floral with honey hints. Elderflower, herbal pastille, sesame and cocktail cherry notes without Byatt’s signature hops. So-so TickerTerryDJ (647) - Redditch, Worcestershire, ENGLAND - FEB 12, 2013

A malty bitter with a head that is creamy and stays the course. Deep copper coloured. imdownthepub (15381) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 11, 2013
Cask conditioned at The Talbot, Leamington Spa, Warks. Brown with white head. I guess that this has a fair chance of containing crystal malt, certainly of a darker variety, quite a bit of malty sweetness added to a biscuity note, it reminded me of digestive biscuits, a light flowery hop too. Pretty reasonable and well served at this pub.
