Bottled version of the flagship Byron Bay Pale. A refreshing brew with low bitterness and a balanced citrus aftertaste.

This is another boring pale lager that is the same as all the rest. Just another grab at the craft beer market by CUB. The numbers in the ratings speak for themselves, try at your own peril!

mcberko (18434) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 12, 2016
On tap at Byron Bay, pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out corn and straw. Flavour is a typical piss lager, with corn and straw. Even bland compared to craft lagers. Pointless beer.

KeefOz (1879) - Tarragindi, AUSTRALIA - SEP 17, 2014
Tasted 13/9/2014. BB 16/07/15. Poured a clear pale amber with 5mm of white foam that diminished quickly to a collar that laced OK. Carbonation moderate and medium sized bubbles. Aroma of undefined chemicals. Taste bland with a slight metallic tone. Light body, a bit thin. Terrible.

On tap at Byron Brewing Co. Much better than I had expected, smooth, not overly hoppy, refreshing. Give it a try if your there.

Very mild lager. Probably good for a session beer. Unfortunately I am more inclined to hoppy Pale Ales so my comments reflect my taste preferences

A bit skunky, very slightly hoppy pale lager, hops do not compliment the malt very well. Not a pleasant drink.

Rob_D_UK (1369) - Madrid, SPAIN - SEP 15, 2013
Had this on draught in the Mary Ellen in Newcastle, NSW. Pours a clear gold with quite a floral aroma. Bit of a bland taste.

ALLOVATE (3049) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - APR 19, 2013
Convenient twist top releases to reveal a wheaty, hay-bale, mineral-like nose with a hint of dried mown grass. In the glass it settles an uninspiring straw gold, bright and missing a vital on top. Gassy, soapy, light bodied yet it leaves a foreign lather upon the tongue. Dusty old hops in back, low malt tones mid-palate with a touch of apple and pear, and a quashed almost incoherent bitterness to finish. No length of flavour. Pretty one dimensional and flawed really! (33cL, BB 08/07/13, 1st Choice Liquor, Midland)

WilleLW (282) - Lund, SWEDEN - APR 3, 2013
Dark golden colour with a white head. Aroma of fruit, berries and some malt and toffee. Taste of berries, elderflower and light toffee. And flowery hops. A little earthy. Medium body.

mkel07 (6216) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - MAR 26, 2013
330 ml bottle. Soft white head , very pale and clear with wet straw aromas. Thin and tasteless in the mouth. There is nothing that makes this pale lager stand out from the thousands of other pale lagers out there.

ShaneJ (898) - AUSTRALIA - FEB 22, 2013
Bottle from Dan Murphy’s. Pale , sparkling golden colour, looked promising in the glass, extreme let down from there on. Watery, boring. Epic fail.
