Legend has it the fishermen of Central America sought the Great Loggerhead Turtle in warm tropical waters. It was tribal belief that this powerful turtle, also known as the "Caguama", symbolized good fortune for the fisherman’s village. It’s our hope that you too will experience the good fortune of the "Caguama". Salud!

32floz/946ml bottle into a shaker. Served cold. Aroma: Typical skunky, clear glass bottle smell. No hop profile, no real malt stands out. Good ol’ skunk. Appearance: Crystal clear, bright pale yellow body, actually a decent foamy white head. Taste: Pretty nice. I can’t tell if there’s any adjuncts here. Pretty decent malt profile, but no hop presence. Palate: Pretty clean and smooth. Short malty finish. Overall: You know what? On a hot, outside, this could be pretty nice. I wish I had some limes.

Bottle. Pours a pale yellow color with a white head. Has a fruity grainy corn aroma. Fruity grainy cardboard flavor. Has a sweetish malty grainy corn finish.

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2013 The color is a very pale yellow with nearly no head, and the aroma is skunky and yeasty. The taste is quite sour and a touch sweet, but this doesn’t lend itself to a pleasant beer; also, the palate combines a thin texture, light body, soft carbonation, and an abrupt finish, which doesn’t do much to save this beer.

Tasted like it was was made from a plate of old nachos...that said this is actually OK for what it is and would be a fine chug-a-lug on a hot summer day. No one would actually confuse this stuff with a real Pilsener...

Bottle @ Cuban restaurant in midtown Atlanta. Really awful skunk beer. Hope to never try this again.

This is what it is, a Mexican lager. Aroma, taste and appearance are similar to others of this style. Corny, skunky, clear bottle goodness. Works good with spicy food and of course Mexican food. This is not a bad option for the style and well priced compared to others.

Pours a pale yellow color. Smell is dominated by corn. Taste is also corn heavy, some grains. Overall a mediocre beer.

Simple pool beer, that you can get cheap. Not much to say, only suitable to for very hot weather.

Cerveza Caguama has a thick, fluffy, white head and a clear, bubbly, yellow-golden appearance. There is even some splotchy lacing associated with it. The aroma is of sweet, light malt and grain, and the flavor is almost neutral. One will get very light grain, almost no hops, and water. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Cerveza Caguama finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, dry, and bland. This is a low average, nothing beer. RJT

troopie (2435) - Munchen an der Willamette, Oregon, USA - JUN 13, 2012
Bottle. Not a pilsener. Pale yellow colour. a little bit of a white head. Faint hop aroma. Light adjunct flavour with a tiny bit malt. No finish at all. Weak mouth feel. Avoid
