Amber colour with a tan head. Sweet fruity nose. A nice rich flavour. Fruity with notes of plum and probably raisins. Also some toffee and vanilla. My favourite beer from Cains.chrisv10 (18213) - DENMARK - JUL 25, 2012

Deep dark copper colour with a slightly soapy somewhat lasting white thin head. Smells of bitter malt, grape Crush and hops. Slightly chemically.. Medium oily body with soft carbonation. Sweet caramel malt start and a bittersweet fuity finish. Tastes like someone poured grape Crush into by bitter. Lightly toasted with sweet rasin. Smooth but a little heavy. martinrumsam (571) - BARNSTAPLE, Devon, ENGLAND - JAN 28, 2012
golden amber white rapidly diminishing head aroma has the raisins plus malt and plums. sweet fruity taste to start becoming medium bitter . medium carbonated . A bit watery - would have liked it fuller . Unusual . ralphdot (1090) - Billingham, Durham, ENGLAND - JAN 19, 2012

an interesting concoction. smells good, looks bad and tastes ’funny’.
a definite smack of grapy raisins that kind of comes of as bad wine with good beer added!
maybe just a half with some christmas cake. POLK (2219) - Hørning, DENMARK - DEC 15, 2011
light brown ale brewed with raisins. There is not much raisin taste which is perhaps fortunate enough. There is a slightly bitter fruit flavor which perhaps comes from the raisins. Very bad head. it would be interesting to know how much raisin is actually used to make beer. interesting ale.
