500ml Bottle pours amber with an offwhite head. Aroma is, unsuprisingly, fruity, and the taste is Juicy plump rasins and beer. I know comparisons are odious, but how come this combination works to good effect, while Wells Banana Bread doesn’t (for me)? ralphdot (1092) - Billingham, Durham, ENGLAND - JAN 19, 2012
5.0% amber colour with a thin head, fruity aroma, taste is surprisingly raisins with some vanilla.

Bottle. Amber beer. Quite hoppy aroma, I can´t detect any raisins in aroma or taste, quite disappointing. Taste malty and quite weak. phredrik (1024) - Copenhagen (formerly Aalborg), DENMARK - APR 15, 2010
Light amber with small white head. Malt dominated nose with a bit of caramel and little raisin. Slightly hoppy. Taste has caramel, a bit of fruitiness, dark, dried fruits like raisins, figs. High carbonation, small to medium body. Kriegbaum (845) - Randers, DENMARK - OCT 13, 2011
Bottle of 50 cl. Amber with a white head. Aroma of malt, fruit, caramel and small hints of raisin. Flavor with notes of caramel and raisin fruit but felt not. Dry mouth feel and a nice hop bitterness in the end

golden amber white rapidly diminishing head aroma has the raisins plus malt and plums. sweet fruity taste to start becoming medium bitter . medium carbonated . A bit watery - would have liked it fuller . Unusual . greenmanalishi (547) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - SEP 14, 2009
Bottle bought within a mile of the brewery. Pours a dull clear amber with slight indigo hue. Raisin aroma, nutmeg?, hops. Thin clear taste with fresh raisin hint (not cloying and thick as feared) something like an iced tea. dry, pippy, slight bitter finish. Pleasant surprise. Beth101 (531) - West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 15, 2008
dark caramel colour with a nice white head. Fruity smell with a hint of plum. Smooth. tasted like plum wine. AndreasJaeger (505) - Malmö, SWEDEN - MAY 15, 2006
amber color, creamy head. Sweet malty aromas with a hint of raisin. Medium body malty taste with a lot of sweet raisin. superflyguy (439) - Leeds, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JAN 1, 2012
an interesting concoction. smells good, looks bad and tastes ’funny’.
a definite smack of grapy raisins that kind of comes of as bad wine with good beer added!
maybe just a half with some christmas cake.
