Orange coloured with a pleasant fruitiness.I was not looking forward to drinking a beer with raisins in it but this was better than I expected. Different and worth trying. leaparsons (10546) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - SEP 6, 2006
Bottle. Golden, amber with a small head. Aromas are toffee malts with sweet, light raisins. brown sugar with some wet, musty grass. Flavours are fruity with raisins. Weetabix malts with hints of citrus. Dry on the finish with a fairly spritzy palate. Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAR 27, 2007
Dark golden colored, medium sized yellow head. Lively carbonation. Aroma is sweet with dominating plums, some chocolate and mild vanilla also there. Medium bodied. Flavor has some cardboardy dryness with plums and some hops, weird flavor, still ok. Crispy carbonation. Chocolate in aftertaste. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 15, 2007
A Mes rate:
50cl bottle at a really decent and very cheap food place in Liverpool. Nose is plum and raisin and a slight tinge of hops. Flavour is similar but very sweet, floral and synthetic. Not a fan of raisins full stop. Surprised I thought the beer was ok. Didn’t finish it though... beervis (243) - Taylor’s Country, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - DEC 15, 2007
aroma sweet, malty and fruity, like malt loaf. poured light copper with thin diminishing head. fruit flavours, flowery hops, rich and slightly sticky on the palate. finish fruity and slightly sour. enjoyable enough, and a little different.

Cask at The Market Porter, London. Amber color with a good white head. Raisin aroma - light one though. Flavor is mild raisin/dark fruit, a little bitter to go with a little caramel. Seems well balanced. A wheat aspect comes and goes. Weird, but pleasurable. Amazing, considering. My wife spontaneously said it’s the best she’s ever had. Doesn’t finish very bitter at all. Recalls just a thought of the grape sodas of my childhood. The flavor, that is. This is not all that sweet (or dry). thebeertourist (5189) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 23, 2008
Bottle. Clear copper with a small head. Nutty and raisiny aroma, like a good bock. Even hints of cellar. Remarkably dry despite the presence of raisins. Body could have been fuller. Quite accomplished for a fruit beer. Gethinbeer (2452) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - SEP 7, 2008
Slight skunky aroma, this soon fades and you get fruits coming through and yes, some raisin. Thin white head, copper in colour. Fruity flavour, raisin and grapes. Maybe a bit thin, no punch, but still a fine ale to enjoy. Little soapy in the finish. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 28, 2010
Bottle 50 cl. Pours amber with the slightest haze and an off-white head. Perfumy aroma - not exactly raisins though. Medium body, sweet caramel, metal and some candy notes. Again, I don’t particularly pick up raisins. Some hops in the finish. 280710 Plovmand (8304) - Helsinge, DENMARK - JUL 30, 2010
Bottle. Hazy light amber with a medium off white head. The aroma is fruit, raisin and sweet caramel. The flavour is quite bitter with notes of fruit, light spice and some hops. Bitter hoppy finish.
