Scopey (14990) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 7, 2016
Cask at The Gordon Highlander, Inverurie. It pours clear dark amber / brown with a thick beige head. The aroma bitter, earthy, wood, toasted nuts, brown bread and leather. The taste is quite fruity upfront, citrus peel, redcurrant and raspberry, then toasted nut, earth, wood, brown bread and old leather armchair with a dry, earthy finish. Medium body and soft, foamy carbonation. Decent autumnal cask ale. allmyvinyl (10695) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 27, 2016

2014-07-03. Lightly hazy red amber body with a small beige head. 3+ Aroma is boozy toffee and caramel malt. Flavour is similar, dry malt and lightly alcoholic caramel. Smooth average plus bodied palate, soft carbonation. Surprising amount of alcohol presence for a relatively low strength. Enjoyable. Bottle as Highland Gold which were told is the same as the Autumn Nuts at Cairngorm brewery, Aviemore AshtonMcCobb (6670) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 8, 2014
Bottle from the Scottish Real Ale shop.
Appearance - dark amber with a nice head.
Nose - grass and herbs with dry malt background.
Taste - caramel and biscuits with a tangy citrus zest finish.
Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy yet crunchy texture and a long dry finish.
Overall - yeah a decent bitter. themightyjag (578) - - JUN 6, 2014
500ml bottle from the brewery shop.
Large bubbly off white head, a little lacing. Body is clear amber. Nose is nuts, a little berries. Flavour is roast nuts, grass, a little hop bitterness on the finish. Aftertaste is a bit of vegetable, not so pleasant. Mouthfeel is decent, maybe a little thin, light carbonation. Not my favourite Cairngorm beer.
