A Scottish stout with a wonderful rich dark colour. A smooth full bodied beer with subtle bitterness giving way to late sweetness and underlying roast barley hints.

Svart med høyt lys brunt skum som legger seg for fort. Lukter kaffe og melkesjokolade. Tynn med lett bitter og søt smak. Medium kullsyre.

Not much of a tasty stout. No aftertaste at all, and thin and flat body. Some nice hints of coffee and "stout", but besides the fact that it’s easy drinkable, this wasn’t much.

500 ml bottle. Dark reddish brown colour, tan head. Sweetish roasted malty aroma with chocolate and some fruity and sour notes. Roasted malt, coffee notes and sweet chocolate in the flavour. Tasty.

2014-07-03. Black body with a modest tan head. 3+ Aroma is relatively modest but fairly roasty. Flavour is similar, dry roast throughout. Smooth average plus bodied palate, soft carbonation. Apariencia: Color negro intenso con una capa de espuma cremosa, abundante y duradera. Aroma: Sutil y agradable a malta tostada y chocolate con toques a mocca o incluso ahumados. Sabor: Muy bien compensado que recuerda al café y termina con un amargor ligeramente seco.

Bottle in Dufftown at a Taste of Speyside. Black. Huge structural tan head. Aroma is roasted, toasted, hint of smoke and ash. Medium body. Aftertaste is dark malt and dark chocolate.

500ml bottle kindly shared by Stefan at a rating session. The body is black as pitch. Tan-coloured head, diminishing to a remaining layer. Loose lacing. Roasted dark malts to the nose with moderate hints of liquorice. Slightly roasted taste with a touch of dried fruits and earth, mid-sweet. Roasted ending as well. Smooth and nice in the mouth, a little thin bodied though (Tårnrommet, Tromsø 15.05.2014).
