COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle - Pasteurised.

A Scottish stout with a wonderful rich dark colour. A smooth full bodied beer with subtle bitterness giving way to late sweetness and underlying roast barley hints.

Lovely dark Scottish thick stout. Great chocolate and coffee flavors with a licorice aftertaste. Great with dark meats. Not a session beer. Drink this on a cold winter night in front of an open fire and you can almost taste the Scottish highlands at Aviemore where it?s brewed. Try it with a whisky chaser, such as Bowmore, or some other peaty Islay malt.My favorite beer in the entire world.

Malty, chocolate flavour. Thick and very, very smooth. Possibly available only on draught?

Stout as it should be: lovely sweetness, caramel and roasted malt with soft bitterness.

Thick and creamy tasting. Looks like liquid black gold. Tastes like a really decent beer but looks and tastes like something really really special :) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home ... Deep solid black ... light chocolate and malts...very coffee ... huge ammount of roast malts... very smooth very well balanced... This is one of the UK ales that i think the scores doesnt reflect just how good a pint this is.

Bottle. Sweet chocolate, vanilla aroma with hint of hops. Opaque brown color with nice large head. Sweet smokey chocolate and vanilla malt flavor. Very nice body with a tasty sweet chocolate malt aftertaste. Excellent.

500ml bottle from Morrisons, which I picked up for 1 !!!!! Pours jet black as expected with a 2 finger tan head. Nutty sweet treackle malty creamy nose. Taste is really good; chocolate milky roasted nutty malt with a nice bitter finish. One of the nicest tasting stouts Iv had in a while, very thick mouth feel too for a 4.4 abv beer. Impressed will be buying more.

Bottled (from Beers of Europe, has at Chris O Pst GBBF Tasting). Deep ruby/black colour, small brown head.. Aroma is caramel, some roasted malts and mild notes of coffee. Flavour is rather sweet dark dry fruits along with some roasted malts, coffee and even mild alcoholiclike sweetness. Rather nice.

Nam. God smak, fyldig og slik en stout skal være. Nøttesmak og god ettersmak ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
