A Scottish stout with a wonderful rich dark colour. A smooth full bodied beer with subtle bitterness giving way to late sweetness and underlying roast barley hints.

Bottle at Deldays house. Pours with a large head, which is slightly off white colour, actually I guess it is quite beige. A strong tasting brew. Nice.

[email protected] Pours black, tan head which went in seconds. Nose is coffee, vegetables, malty, uncooked steak. Taste is slight bitter coffee which turns into a sweetish aftertaste.

500ml bottle from Morrisons, which I picked up for 1 !!!!! Pours jet black as expected with a 2 finger tan head. Nutty sweet treackle malty creamy nose. Taste is really good; chocolate milky roasted nutty malt with a nice bitter finish. One of the nicest tasting stouts Iv had in a while, very thick mouth feel too for a 4.4 abv beer. Impressed will be buying more.

500ml bottle. Dark brown pour with a caramel head. Aroma of rich cinder toffee and roasted malt. Pale flavour of cinder toffee and syrupy treacle with cream, bolstered by a strong dark stout flavour.

Musta olut kohtalaisella, kivasti pitsi jttvll beigell vaahdolla. Tuoksu herkullisen kermainen, maitokahvinen, paahteinen sek maitosuklainen. Maku jatkaa samalla linjalla ollen pehmen kermainen, maitokahvinen, paahteinen ja suklainen sek jlkimaultaan viel paahteisuus korostuen. Keskitytelinen suutuntuma ja todellinen jymy-ylltys prosentteihin nhden! Loisto-ostos!

50cl bottle from Marks & Spencer, Camberley. An opaque peaty brown pour with a large tan head; caramel aroma; quite lively with a smooth creamy texture that coats the mouth, dry with a taste of well roasted barley and some milky oats; then a nutty caramel finish. A solid and satisfying milky stout.

Pours a deep black with a slight redness to it. Large frothy head that lasts well. Aroma is roasted malts with some caramel and hints of coffee. Flavour has the malts with some chocolate notes.

500 ml bottle, from Matkroken Stokka. BB date 28. April 2014. ABV is 4.4%. Black colour, moderate but lasting tan head. Sweetish malty and lightly roasty aroma, more malts and caramel than coffee, also notes of chocolate and vanilla. Smooth flavour, delightful lightly roasted quality malts, some sweetness but not too much, notes of chocolate, toast and mild coffee, moderate hops. Definitely a beer Id buy again.
