Cask Pints at (1) Ealing Beer Festival 2008 and (2) Wibbas Down (JDW), Wimbledon, London in Sept 2009 - Rich dark colour. Sweet malty (roasted malts, lots of chocolate, coffee, caramel and toffee). Fruity (dried fruits, berries). Some hoppy bitterness. Smooth medium bodied beer. Bitter roast malty throughout with a sour edge. Very drinkable. Enjoyed this. Nice Stout! (2009-09)

On cask at The Highlander, Winlaton. Blacker than Guinness.. nice off white creamy head. Smells like roasted milky coffee. Taste is creamy, smokey and smooth. Perfect stout !

Pitch black body with firm, creamy beige head. Roasted caramelle chocolate aroma. Rich roasted palate with dark chocolate and coffee. Just enough, perfectly balanced. Excellent stout.

Cask HP at Crosse Keys as ’Cairngorm Black Gold’, 4.4%. Black, opaque with a foamy brown head. Aroma is dark chocolate, fudge. Body is smooth with low carbonation. Taste is toffee chocolate, the werthers originals they did with chocolate, fudgey yet has a little ashy bitterness offsetting this. Overall, packs lots of flavour in for the abv. On tap at the ’Spoons, Earlsdon. Black with a beige head and some light lacing. Aroma has light coffee, black cherry and liquorice. Palate is light but pleasantly creamy.
