Duft av frukter, rosin og krydder. Tykt skum. Fin mørk amber farge. fin smak av krydder og rosin med en litt bitter finish. yngwie (17038) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 28, 2013
Bottle. A small, dark beige head sits on top of an unclear, copper colored body. The aroma has a little spiced touch, but most of all there’s toffee. As low on hoppyness as Scottish beers are reputed to be, both in the aroma and the flavor. Some bitterness kicks in towards the end though. Toffee and a little spiced, herbal flavor as well. Dry, full-bodied and nicely carbonated. Yet another pretty boring bitter, but there’s some qualities in this one that I like. And it’s flawless as well. 130607 allmyvinyl (10495) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 14, 2013
500ml bottle at home. Pours clear dark brown, no head. Aroma has toffee and a weird herbal note, almost minty. Taste has a sweet Cola-like quality. Finishes thin. Not impressed. jamestulloch (4063) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 17, 2013
UPDATED: FEB 27, 2014 Bottle from Aldi. Clear amber/brown body with a thin off-white head. Light carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of lightly roasted malt, fruit and a touch of metal. 500 ml bottle. Clear amber body with a decent pale beige head. Aroma has malt and some butterscotch. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, hint of milk chocolate and some bitterness. Medium body and a bit weak in aftertaste. Pretty ordinary and a bit marred from butterscotch.

Gyllen rødbrun farve med lys beige skum. Lukt av malt og karamell. Smak av malt og karamell. Supermarked. McTapps (6856) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - SEP 2, 2013
Pours out of the bottle in a clear dark amber colour with steady head and flat body. Nose of hops and nuts. Taste of medium bitter hops, caramel, toffee, nuts, leaves and woods. Light hints of roast. Easy and nice to drink, yet not very quaffable or delicious. Solid Bitter. MichaelAwesome (6516) - Wanne-Eickel, GERMANY - SEP 1, 2013
Bottle shared with McTapps. Well, this one has a slight smokey finish and is still drinkable despite this fact. Nuts, roasted malt, hints of coffee. Quite low in abv with a bit stronger taste. Nice. tfredvik (1941) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 28, 2013
Clear, quite dark amber body with an off-white head that sticks around for some time and laces the glass well. The aroma is strong, fruity and sweet with caramel, but more prominent are citrus and a distinct floral feel, thistle I presume. The flavours are dominated by the flowers, that also create a moderate, biting but nevertheless a clean bitterness, not the unpleasant plant-sap like bitterness that I often find in herbal beers. There is also a substantial initial sweetness that goes well with the bitter finish. The mouthfeel is crisp, refreshing and citric. It’s a light and dry beer with a moderate carbonation. A very unusual, highly interesting and pleasantly demanding brew. gunnfryd (14824) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 25, 2013
