Amber beer, fluffy beige head.
Malty, as these beers tend to be. Some herbal or flowery eleemnts which I guess come from the thistle. Herbs, a bit medical.markas101 (2487) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - JAN 6, 2011

Lovely malty beer, full body, spices, flowers and a ton of malt. Flowers, dry petals, dust. Dry finish.
Nice, but not really impressive, but we need the small beers, too.
50 cl bottle, Sheffield, UK.Medium ruby-brown colour, faint malt aroma with metallic brown sugar. Medium body, sweet with a balanced hop finish. YK23 (465) - Haifa, ISRAEL - JAN 23, 2011
Bottle at a tasting, thanks Dror: aroma, sweet malt, honey, beer wort, jam, some herbal notes, in the flavor some roasted malt, weak coffee, bready, spicy and quite dry, some bitterness in the finish, nice. Blairgus (4613) - California, USA - MAY 11, 2011
11 May 2011, bottle. light to med brown, clear, no bubbles. looks like a nice nut brown ale. copper malt background with a significant rose or other floral element. full body and fairly fizzy. with a copper malt background, heather comes to the front and forms the defining characteristic of the beer. it is slightly tart as far as the malt is concerned and i’m not a big fan of heather in my beer. okay.

Bottle. Red amber body, medium head. Herbal aroma with a hint of ginger. Taste is hoppy with herbal elements similar to nettle and dandelion milk. Bitter finish. Good, but not very harmonic. KyotoLefty (10603) - Kyoto, JAPAN - OCT 1, 2011
Bottle. Herbal, grass nose, ginger, spices and light malt. Copper-brown color with lace. Flavor of nettles, ginger, caramel, ginger. Dry and a bit dusty, with a somewhat vegetal bitterness at the end. Nice dry finish, though. Interesting, rather strange, but good enough.

Ruby red, medium off-white head. The aroma is an interesting blend of ginger, herbs and malty sweetness. Thistle and malt in the start, ginger and hops in the finish. The aftertaste is more thistle and bitterness. Body is a bit watery, the balance is a bit off, but this is an intriguing beer nonetheless. rosenbergh (11753) - Tampere, FINLAND - FEB 23, 2012
500 ml bottle. Edinburgh, Scotland.WesKBob (563) - Bethany, Oklahoma, USA - MAY 17, 2013
Clear copper colour with average size fluffy light tan head.
Some strange sweetness, fruits and herbs in interesting aroma.
Flavour is mildly bitter, some fruity hops, sweetish malt and hints of metal. Might be also thistle, but I’ve never tasted a thistle so I’m not sure.
Enjoyable tasty Bitter.
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy bright reddish-amber color. Good off-white head with good retention. Aroma is roast malt, caramel, and dried fruit. Flavor is sweet malt, butterscotch, raisin and grassy hops. Medium bodied and lightly carbonated. Smooth-drinking, but not something I would seek out on a regular basis.
