COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pasteurised bottle.
A pleasant mahogany coloured best bitter, malt predominating, gives a satisfying fullness of flavour. A glass or two of "Nessie’s Monster Mash" is a must before seeking an audience with the monster. The legendary monster is a source of constant speculation and rumour as he watches from his lair deep in the dark and mysterious depths of majestic Loch Ness.

From the bottle this is good looking Scotch ale with a nice head, heavy on the malt as usual, but little else.

Good lookin’ beer, good tight white head, leaves a nice lace down the glass. Soft sweet malty nose with a hint of hops..nice! Quite thin on the palate, initially good malt but that fades very quickly and leaves little in the way of a finish.

some friends brought this over from scotland for me. poured deep brown with a tan-mushroom head. malty wet nose with roasted nut essence. mouth continues the same malted toffee flavors not particulary sweet but non impressive on the palate. needs more substance and less water.

Lovely hoppy aroma but not overpowering. Very dark amber appearance. Always tastes nicer when it's bought for you as a present by a great friend :) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Caramel, bread and hint of dried fruits and rubber in the aroma. Golden brown with a white head. Medium sweet and bitter. light to medium body with a soft carbonation. The finish is quite dry. Overall a nice bitter.

sound67 (731) - Offenbach, GERMANY - JAN 11, 2010
50cl bottle, label as shown. Pours a clear hazelnut brown with a medium-sized light beige head. Good retention, decent lacing. Aroma of ripe plums, toffee and bready malt. Medium-bodied bitter with a solid, smooth mouth feel. Very moderate carbonation. Velvety and comforting. :=) Characterful flavour of caramel, roasted malt and some barnyard notes. Bitterness increases towards the finish. Moderately bitter, lingering after taste. A smooth and satisfying bitter, more complex and rewarding than many. Down the hatch - next one, please!

Bottled. Ruby amber in colour. Minor beige head. there is a malty and rich aroma with ints of caramel. The flavour is burnt malty with a sweet caramel like taste. There is a sweet and dry aftertaste. Thanks to tbone_ for this one.
