COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, Special;
This new beer has been brewed exclusively for this Wetherspoon real-ale festival and is an orangey-brown in colour, with a gentle hop aroma and a flavour which combines grainy, biscuit characteristics with a rye-grass flavour, leading to a pleasing, bittersweet finish.

Cask Pint – JDW Fest Spring 2011 in Mar 2011 - Amber-Brown in colour. Malty; grainy, biscuity malts. Hoppy; lightly spicy floral hops. Didn’t taste of anything much. Mildly bitter. Drinkable, but disappointing! (2011-04-07)

Amber coloured ale that is increasingly endearing as it has an excellent body to it.

Cask at The Anderson, Fortrose. My first ever Rye Beer. Didn’t care for it. It lacked any real bite or anything special. Quite watery.

On cask at Cloisters. Pours a brown colour with a thick light tan head. Aroma of rye, alcohol and yeast. Similar flavours with rye quite prominent. Moderate carbonation and light CO2 prickle. A bit sweet with an oily mouth-feel.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Copper to amber with white head. Nicely drying bitter with quite a full maltiness, some toffee hints though with a little caramalisation. Decent drinking on another warm sunny day. Not bad.
