"A smooth, deep amber coloured ale with a complex malt, fruit and hop flavour. Strong and distinctive like the powerful sleek Scottish Wildcat it is named after."

500ml bottle. Pours a rusty amber with a one finger off white head. Nose is brown bread, walnut, toast and some floral notes. Light to medium mouth feel, medium carbonation. Very malty, bread, toast, prunes, toffee, roasted malt leading into a traditional hop bitterness. Not my favourite style of beer, but pretty nice stuff.

Amberkleurig bier met grote witte schuimkraag. Geur: moutzoetig, toffee, fudge, biscuit. Smaak: moutzoetig en terug biscuit en wat metaal. Lichte body en koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: Licht zoet. Helemaal niet bitter en zeker niet wild deze kat.

7/20 Amber coloured lager, notes of caramel. Pretty average. Taste a bit chemically. Disappointing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a dark amber with a lasting off white head. Aroma is of malts and some caramel. Taste is a bit watery but much the same as the aroma with a dry and slightly bitter finish. Nothing exciting going on here.

500ml bottle. Pours an amber brown colour with a small but long lasting off-white head. Aroma of lightly roasted malts or coffee, fruity. Taste is also malty, the coffee/roasted malt flavours come through after and leave a bitter hop aftertaste.

330ml bottle. Pours clear chestnut/toffee brown with red tints and a two-three finger off white head. Aroma of caramel, nuts, malt and some toffee. Taste is moderately sweet with a nice bitterness with caramel bready malt and toffee notes. Enjoyable ale.

Bottle BBE: 28 Jul 2016. Cellar temp. Pours a clear, reddish chestnut brown body with small, tight, creamy tan head. The nose is malt-forward, medium-low intensity, with doughy granary loaf, flour and a hint of coffee. A medium-high toffee sweetness dominates on the tongue, with just a slight, subtle underlying bitterness. Full-medium bodied with a smooth texture, medium-low carbonation and a slightly cloying aftertaste. Not a bad offering from Cairngorm, but too sweet for my tastes.
