Cask at The Guildford. Pours clear golden brown, bubbly off-white head. Aromas are toffee and red fruit. Taste is light sweet, but also a bit musty. Medium body, creamy texture. Much better than the bottled version. themightyjag (604) - - APR 25, 2014
Cask at the Woodshed, Coylumbridge.
Small white head, good lacing. Body is clear dark amber. Woody, nutty nose, a little vanilla. Flavour is berries, straw, biscuit, booze. Some cream. Light bitterness and lingering booze on the aftertaste. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy, no carbonation. Not enough flavour in this, the alcohol comes through too much.
