sm89walt (2065) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - JUN 17, 2009
Cask - JDW, Canterbury. A dark mahogany with a fine beige head that never completely disappeared, leaving a layer thick enough for a fair lacing. Quite vinuous on the nose, also with red berries and roasted malt. Coffee, caramel and plummy red berry flavours with a dry roasted malt and alcohol finish. Thin to medium mouthfeel with a lasting dry bitterness and a mild throat warming sensation.

Smell of sweet malts followed by a flavour of leafy hops and some hints of caramel malts. Rounded bitter endnotes. Edinburgh, 23.10.2008.
