Cask gravity at Ealing Beer Festival 2008. Deep russet brown. After being bottled for a day and a half, not in great condition. Some nice toffee and malt. Bit toasty and then some balancing hop on finish. A pretty good premium bitter, plenty of flavour. Bit of plastic maybe, but that could be from the bottle. Decent full fruity malt. berkshirejohn (6771) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 16, 2008
Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading. Chestnut with a dense cream head; syrupy malt aroma; lots of earthy malt flavours with some roasted nuts and some sour blackberry fruit; deeply bitter finish. Excellent.

on cask at tennent’s bar in glasgow. copper with a steady beige head. aroma of icing sugar and caraml, light cocoa powder, some prickly bitterness but not very exciting Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 1, 2007
Clear copper, very earthy, caramelly, lightly smoky ale that is frankly very sweet. Grainy on the palate. Creamy full body, but very airy and kinda loose. Failing to balance bitterness gets drowned into the particularly husky finale. Not too good.
