Grains, golden with a good white head, light body, medium carbonation, malty notes...not so bad for me afterall.

This beer became these last years commercial, because that Heineken bought this brewery and you can find this beer everywhere in Switzerland. It is a classical lager, nothing great and it is better from the tap. The color is a classical yellow-gold. The carbonation is regular, the foam is white and thin. We could say that there is an influence from Austria with the taste, malty, few hop, a bit watery and a bit metalic. It is ok, if you drank it fresh.

Pale yellow colour, almost no head at all; aroma and taste of cardboard, metallic notes and some sourness - is there anyone who really beleive that it is a beer?

Bottle shared by a friend, medium sample. Clear golden color, medium frothy head. Bit flowery hop, some grainy malt. Soft bitterness. Ok.

Fat. Klar guldfärgad med ett medelstort vitt skum. Dofter av lime, malt, blomster och hö. Smakinslag av malt, gräs och majs. Doften lovade mer än vad smaken höll.

580ml Flasche. Klar und golden. Mittelgrosse Schaumkrone. Leichter Körper. Mild.

Review: Can of Calanda Lager: ABV: 4.8%

The Calanda brewery and its unique beer, from the water of the Grison mountains

On pour we get a lovely clean and clear golden colour, with a massive head that takes a while to settle. When it settles eventually I see a lovely looking beer. The head does die a bit after a while, and there is some decent lacing.

I like the aroma as well, quite strong and full of nice aromas of corn, barely and grains.

Taste wasn’t what I was expecting, a bit of a slow burner. A good feel in the mouth and that initial taste was good. Creamy, stringent sour taste, some citrus.

Bubbly, deep lying taste, hoppy.

All at start and middle, no real aftertaste. Savoury, tasting of corn, grains and sweet malts.

A slow drinking beer, good for a slow session, very tasty. I liked it, a nice and relaxing beer.

Vom Fass im Stadion in Zug bei den Calanda Broncos. Goldgelbe Farbe, grober weisser Schaum. Süssliches Getreidearoma und Geschmack. Nichts Besonderes.

Manslow (1872) - Warsaw, POLAND - NOV 5, 2015
Butelka wypite w Szwajcarii rok 2000, niewiele pamiętam. Piwo złote, klarowne, typowy lager raczej bawarski. Dobre piwo.
