750ml bottle at Matt's. Pours a very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is burnt sugar and fruity, similar to Bellwoods stouts. Similar taste with roasted malt aftertaste. Meh. mcberko (18557) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 12, 2017
355mL bottle, gushes out of the bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Nose is loaded with burnt sugar, brown sugar, and burnt rubber. Flavour is quite burnt, with brown sugar, burnt rubber, and caramelized sugar. There's definitely some disturbing quality in this, hinting at a slight infection. Needs fixing. luttonm (6634) - Seattle, Washington, USA - AUG 1, 2017
Bottle in Seattle. Purchased in CDMX earlier this year. Unfortunately, well gone. Must rerate. This is an infection mess, tall brown head that is a gusher of foam in the glass. Prickly cocoa aroma. Ugly sweet, fizzy sip. Just unbearable. Seems there are some nice roast notes and deep cocoa underneath. I’m sure in good shape this is delicious. But I must revisit. harry_p_ness (18) - - JUN 29, 2017
Smells chocolate, coffee, roasty, nuts.black, tan foam.very bitter, heavy cloying sweetness, and a hint of heat from the chiles. As it warms the complexity shines. Creamy, slick feel, lively, soft carbonation, full body, long finish. Well done. dfinney23 (3395) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUN 6, 2017
Most beers brewed with chilies are about the heat. This one is about the complex flavors and aromas unique to the chilies. Earthy, smokey, lightly pungent notes compliment the roasty stout but add very little heat. Delicious.

Vanilla, cocoa, cinnamon, spiced smell, the look is dark. The taste is like it smell, more sweet than bitter, but it is missing something. Good beer. DenverLogan (1237) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - APR 13, 2017
From a 12 oz bottle. Near black with small head. Aroma of chocolate and dark malts. Modest carbonation and significant mouthfeel. Flavor of dark malts, dark chocolate, malted milk balls, molasses, minerals. Overall not the biggest Impy Stout at 9%, but nonetheless full bodied, flavorful,& nicely sweet without significant oxidation in this bottle. So, all-in-all, quite tasty as it warms up. fiery1 (1561) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 7, 2016
UPDATED: OCT 12, 2017 355ml bottle @ Matt's. Purchased from Juan @ La International Cozumel. Pours a opaque black with a small tan head. It did gush a bit upon opening, however may have been agitated from transport. Nose is dark molasses and burnt sugars. Flavour is weird, slightly sour, roasted malt, and some cocoa. I think this bottle might actually be infected.

Shared 12 oz. bottle. Pours almost black with virtually no head. Aroma of roasted malts and chocolate. Taste is roasted malts, chocolate, lactose, dark berries, and coffee notes. Didn’t detect any chili pepper heat. Okay. darbeer75 (955) - Round Rock, Texas, USA - OCT 11, 2016
Aroma: very roasty and a little boozy; good; Appearance: pitch black with thin off white head that disappears almost immediately; Taste: follows nose with a little additional bitterness; Palate: heavy body with long, sweet finish; Overall: not bad. Not the first stout I’d choose, but decent.
