Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours orange/brown with a beige head. Aroma is pretty malty with some veg note. Med body. flavor is malty, a bit nutty, with chocolate. Sadly not dank for me, but it’s well balanced and tasty. marcus (10869) - Sacramento, California, USA - AUG 27, 2015
On tap at Capitol Beer & Tap Room. Pours dark brown with a nice beige head and a chocolate aroma. There is a medium-bodied chocolate malt flavor with a dry finish. Very tasty. sic1314 (4773) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - FEB 17, 2015
Poured a medium reddish brown with an off white head. Aroma of sweet berries, nuts and caramel malt. Medium body, flavour is a well balanced medium sweet, medium bitter with a nice bitterness from the nuts and light spices. Fatehunter (2640) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - DEC 2, 2013
Pours a thin head on a clear deep red colored body.
The aroma is pretty mild overall... some grain, maybe.
The taste is mild as well. There is a slight dry bitterness and some honey.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
It lacks any real aroma or taste. KyotoLefty (10808) - Kyoto, JAPAN - SEP 22, 2012
Draught at Tadg’s. Nose of chocolate, caramel, light fruits, something peppery. Flavor similar. Not a whole lot of bold malts as you would expect in a brown, not too sweet, a bit spicy and peppery, though I was not told it was hemp in it, and would never have guessed. Maybe a touch of refer in the nose after being told. Decent, but not that special.

Draught. Poured red brown with very little head. Aroma was unfamiliar at first and then it struck me, sea water and wet rope. Flavour of syrup and dagga, rather more sweetness than is decent in a beer. Almost syrupy body. More hemp and a tiny bit of malt in the finish. The beer was not as good as my rating, but I give Caldera credit for trying something new. raphael (1303) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 29, 2008
aroma of malt syrup with some brown sugar and a mile lemon peel tang. dark brown slightly hazy with a quick head. the malt flavor stays clena and not cloying, with enough hops to add a slight sourness. thin in the mouth, and int he finish
