Can at Imazato, 650 yen. Golden Amber in color with a thick beige head. The aroma is minty citrus while the medium body gives a lightly bitter woodsy flavor with orange coming in with the malt sweetness.

Pours burnt orange color. Cloudy. Very nice tall, thick, cream/beige colored head. Good retention, but oddly, okay lacing. First can had none, second was pretty good. But sitting there in the glass, very pretty.

Aroma is not as orange as the label might lead you to believe. It’s surprisingly malty smelling. Pineapple juice and orange zest. There’s some earthy/floral hops that come out. Cracker.

Taste is pretty hoppy, pretty bitter. I get more orange zest in the taste. Bitter hop oil. Orange pith. Cracker.

Mouthfeel is medium light bodied. Pretty well balanced. Pretty clean finish. I’d guess the IBUs to be about 65. It’s dry, maybe more so than your typical IPA.

Overall, it’s good. Interesting idea. It’s not something I’ll rush out to buy again. Am I better for having tried this...yes....However, its not so amazing that I would recommend it, and I probably wouldn’t buy it again, unless it were on sale.

Can from the Sampler: pours light amber with a white head. Aroma is oranges, other citrus, malts. Taste is somewhat hoppy and orangeish up front. Significantly maltier than I expected. Not really my thing.

Can from Bearden Beer Market. Hazy brownish orange, with a big block of beige foam. Smells toasty, with a good deal of citrus and pine. Taste is very citrus, orange forward. Notes of toast and caramel seep in as it warms.

Half growler. Foggy, orange-amber with a creamy quarter inch of foam. Nose is dank herb, earthy toffee and resin. Tastes of the same mix, but a bit washed out. Light-medium body has smooth, low-medium carbonation and a watery, sessionable balance.

Draft at Beer Temple. Pours slight hazy amber with a big off white head. Aroma of orange, kind of soft like those slightly fake orange juice drinks, with citrus and light malt. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Light to light medium bodied with a watery juice drink palate and soft carbonation.

From tap at BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Aroma of malt, biscuit, ripe orange, caramel. Flavour is light to moderate sweet with a moderate to medium bitter finish. More malty and less fruity than I had hoped.

MarcoDL (5415) - NETHERLANDS - NOV 29, 2015
Draft @ beertemple. Aroma of strong orange zest and citrus. Taste of fresh orange, citrus, mild caramel and some fresh fruits. Nice hoppy orange juice. I don’t get the low ratings.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours light amber with a white head. Citrus aroma. Med body. Flavor is orange/malt. Kind of bitter, yet has a sweetness. It’s really very nice.
