Tap at the tap house. Pours copper amber with a creamy beige head. Aroma suggests black tea? Med body. Flavor is bready, somewhat caramel, in a bock way. Hoppy enough to balance the malt. Finishes matching bitter and sweet. skoisirius (1909) - Earth, Washington, USA - JUL 6, 2011
Think this is brand new? Not sure. Never seen it on down here before. Pours clear golden, minor white head. Nose of grass and smoke. Flavor is a thicker bodied lager, fairly malted, grass hints, swept over by a very gentle meaty smoke wash. Asked the bartender and it’s the grains they smoke for this brew. The smoke is a PART of the beer, not THE BEER, which makes this for me, drinkable. Definitely good for what it is!
