Kettle Series. When hopportunity knocks, answer it. This ale is Caldera’s rendition of answering the Pacific Northwest call for a @*! pile of Centennial hops with a big beer to back it up. Don’t get left out in the cold, open up and fill the void within you . . .

355ml can. Pours a slightly hazy orange with a medium, frothy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, bread, apricot and grapefruit. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, orange peel, grapefruit, apricot, peach and pine resin with a dry, bitter hop finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Ok.

12oz can from Total Wine in Paramus, with a "best by October ’17" date. Copper amber pour with a beige head leaving a lot of streaky lace. Aroma has tangy fruit, sweet malts, and tangy pine. Taste is of sweet caramelly malts, candied fruits, tangy citrus fruits. Tangy sweet, but mostly sugary sweet. Medium bodied with a touch of alcohol, the blend is fine. Finishes caramelly fruity. Shrug, ok. Malty with light fruit. Not what hoped for. 13.4

24.09.2015, 0,35l can shared with Palme @ hotel room in Amsterdam:
Soft gusher. Small slightly fizzy-bubbly mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry resiny, harsh grass, pine needles, caramel malts, hops, alcohol, old leafs, minerals, old citrus peel. Taste is slightly dry concentrated grassy, pine needles, caramel malts, hops, moss, bark, alcohol, minerals, harsh grass, weeds, soil, soap. Longlasting bitterness, harsh watery mouthfeel. Not my cup of tea.

Very nice IPA, beautiful amber colour and very intense sweet taste of fruits, caramel and citrus. Helps that it is in a beautiful can too.
