Bottleshare thanks to MrFrog. Opaque dark brown beer, good yellowish tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry, mild fine carbonation. Airy creamy dark malts, mildly sweet. Touches of roast and coffee. Dry spice precedes a dry finish. Not bad.

Bottle from kris wines. Shared at Leightons party. Aroma is really dirty earthy coffee, toasted coconut, berry, raspberry fruit, dark choccy gateaux. Flavour is choccy powder. Dark roast, milky choc. Berry. Dark black forest gateaux. Dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a thin tan head. Palate is full and smooth, creamy and rounded. Lingering earthy coffee. Roast good stuff.

Bottle thanks to Fergus. It pours darkest brown with a small tan head. The nose is rich, oily, dark chocolate, toasty action, varnish, spice, cake and some unami. The taste is smooth, bitter, earthy roast, cocoa, toffee, light alcohol, coffee, light spice, mild acidity and some alcohol warmth with a dry, toasty finish. Medium - full body, sticky mouth-feel and fine carbonation.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Fergus. Pours clear, deep brown with a creamy tan head. The nose has some milk chocolate, mellow roast, old coffee. Medium sweet flavor with earthy bitterness, more chocomate, dried berries, burnt wood. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sugary finish, more burnt wood, milk chocolate. Not bad.

When you want a bitter stout, this is the king. Hangs on your tongue for ever, more than any other beer I have noticed. Super creamy. If you want to enjoy this beer, get a spoon. Booya!

Draught at the Caldera Brewing Co, Ashland, CA. Black colour with a mid-size creamy tan head. Roasted malt, sweet vanilla, ash, The flavour is roasted malt, ashy dryness, something burned, mild vanilla sweetness notes and hops. Very rich and balanced. Bottle. Pours black in color with a tan head. Lots of fresh roasted notes in aroma at first, some cocoa powder and coffee is present quite strongly here. Licorice notes enters later on. Full bodied, quite bitter though. Chocolate and coffee in taste. Slightly burnt vibes later on with some licorice in aftertaste. Bitter and some notes of spicy vanilla in finish.

Ik kan helaas niks over dit biertje schrijven omdat ik het in Nederland heb gedronken en geen info heb opgeschreven. Wat ik wel heb gedaan is een cijfer gegeven. Ik hoop dat ik hierdoor genoeg info voor mezelf heb creert.
