4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Picked this up at the tap house in Ashland. It came in a quart jar filled from the tap. I drank it the next day.
Minimal head on a clearer brown body. It’s a light color for a stout.
It smells like oak and caramel. Rich.
The taste is oaky and sweet with a touch of bitterness at the end.
Smooth texture with minimal carbonation and a medium body.
Pretty good and very drinkable for an imperial stout.
Bomber, 2017 vintage. Rich roasted malt aroma with notes of chocolate, molasses and licorice. Pours deep brown with a thin light brown head that has little retention and some lacing. Starts with rich roasted malt flavors with molasses notes as well as a full body and rich mouthfeel. Finishes very smooth with chocolate and licorice flavors as well as roasted malt flavors that linger on the palate after each sip. Very nice stout. caribou43 (1065) - Lausanne/Sevilla/Lima, SWITZERLAND - MAY 9, 2017
Huge thanks Raoul for this bottle that we share together at the Pibar in Lausanne, yesterday. In my point of view, it is the perfect nectar before to sleep, to caress the night dragons and to dream for a couple of hours or close to your fireplace making crazy alexandrins. The body is a solid black and heavy color, thin and white/brown head staying few moment. The carbonation is regular for the style. The taste and aromas are magic, a beer that you drink step by step like your thinkings of philosophy: roasted malt, dry for the style, hop and solid notes of licorice, the taste is becoming more powerful while you drink it, some dark chocolate and vanilla notes, alcool not so high for the style, a good experience. Piwo czarne, z beżową obfitą pianą. W aromacie czekolada, sos sojowy, praliny, kakao. W smaku kawa, gorzka czekolada, pralinki, rodzynki. Alkohol bardzo, ale to bardzo delikatnie wyczuwalny, likierowy. Klasycznie smakujący imperialny stout bez fajerwerków- jak dla mnie git. CDA (4) - Muko, JAPAN - JAN 29, 2017 does not count
New favorite. Like drinking candy. Hints of licorice, chocolate, roasted barley, and coffee. Very easy to drink. Super dangerous. Just rode a train one and a half hours for another pint. Back to work... Korcz (3389) - Warsaw, POLAND - JAN 14, 2017

Medium/heavy aroma of malts, caramel, dark fruit, chocolate, molasses, mocha, roasted malts and coffee.
Opaque black beer with a slight/medium brown/dark brown head.
Starts medium/heavy sweet with malta, caramel, dark fruit, chocolate, molasses and mocha; ends slightly bitter and dry with roasted malts and coffee.
This beer is intense, complex and balanced. Great sweet start with loads of dark fruit and chocolate. The finish has a decent amount of roasted malts and coffee as well. Nothing wrong with this beer at all.
Bottle at craig?s. Pours black, nose is chocolate, sugary, toffee, coffee, taste is sweet, liquorice, roasted, chocolate.
